Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Real County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or direct message may be kept long enough to review and answer it. Such correspondence is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics logs may capture technical information when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure page use, traffic patterns, and where visits end. Analytics providers may combine that activity into reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the site work.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, securing, and improving site performance
- Routing a submitted search to the selected outside provider
- Measuring which resources receive useful traffic
- Diagnosing errors and service problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Real County Court Docket does not maintain, compile, host, or sell a database of personal case records or official dockets. Its reference material identifies the Real County District Clerk, 38th District Court, lower courts, and state search channels that may hold those records. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report, and the site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The Texas Public Information Act governs access to many government records, but Texas Government Code Section 552.0035 distinguishes information maintained by or for the judiciary. Court and judicial records are governed by applicable court rules and law, including Rule of Judicial Administration 12 and, for covered civil court records, Texas Rule of Civil Procedure 76a. Those access rules do not serve as a general consumer privacy law for visitor data.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Each partner controls its retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Real County offices, Texas courts, re:SearchTX, legal resources, or commercial search services. The destination's privacy policy applies after a visitor leaves this domain. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising services may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs through their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so access, loss, or misuse can never be ruled out completely.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under eighteen. A verified notice that a minor supplied such data will be reviewed for deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights over personal data depend on the law that applies to the visitor and the data. A person may submit the following requests, subject to identity checks, legal exceptions, and technical limits:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date.
